Saints Melton BBC

About Saints Background The Saints Melton Basketball Club is affectionately known as “The Saints”.

Our club initially started as “one” team in 2006 as a result of the initiation of one teacher at the St Catherine’s Primary School hence the name “Saints”. Since that time the club has grown and now houses 11 teams from under 8′s to Under 18′s.   Our young teams (8′s & 10′s) are mixed teams with our under 12 and up teams comprising of either boys or girls teams.

The Saints have a strong affiliation with the local catholic schools and are hugely supported in the use of their facilities.  Father Michael Moody from the St Dominic’s parish is honored for his unwavering support.

Due to the rapid growth of the club over a short period of time it was important to build a strong foundation and the club was incorporated on 9 June 2010 giving structure and direction to the Club. The Saints underwent a transformation in 2011 with the creation of a new logo and redesigned uniforms by Meant2Be Sports (Tullamarine) which look fantastic!

All Saints coaching staff are required to have a “Working With Children’s” accreditation. A strong ethical code is instilled in all our volunteers ensuring your children are kept within a safe, enjoyable environment.
